Hello! I'm Liv 👋🏻 I am the Co-Founder and Head of Talent at Marketing Pros.
I founded Marketing Pros with the mission to provide young graduates and talented marketers with exciting opportunities to work remotely for global companies.

Why Marketing Pros
At Marketing Pros, we recruit and hire South African marketing talent for companies all around the globe. What makes us different is that we act as the employer of record for the South African employee. This means that each of our Marketing Pros employees has a full-time employment contract with our South African entity and therefore, we aim to provide each employee with their Basic Conditions of Employment.
We also place a strong focus on bringing people together and building a fun, people-first community. We have an office space in Cape Town that we encourage our employees to use to get a change of scenery or if they need a break from their workspace at home! If you aren't based in Cape Town, we have also built an interactive Slack community where we share series recommendations, work playlists, and funny corporate TikToks, just to name a few.

Who am I?
To go back to the basics, my educational background is in Industrial Psychology. Although my Degrees taught me many technical skills, my time at Stellenbosch University really taught me the softer skills like time management, how to balance work with a social life, and some much-needed problem-solving skills.
During the pandemic, I met Doug who took a chance on me to build out his UK-based marketing agency team in Cape Town. As a first-time business owner, it quickly became obvious that South African marketing professionals had a lot to offer. With an easy sell to the global market, our growth was exponential and we have now placed over 40 remote employees in UK, US, Australian, and European companies.
Outside of work, you can find me socialising with friends and family or walking my dog, Bailey. I love music and would say that my #1 most used app on my phone is Spotify (hit me up for a playlist that will help get you through the work day 🎧). My toxic trait is saying "ya no definitely" and only drinking coffee with frothy milk made by a barista.

Advice for prospective candidates
The one thing that I would highly encourage during the recruitment process is to embrace and showcase your true self! Our aim is to provide a space where as the applicant, you feel comfortable and confident during each stage of the recruitment process.
